During the 2011-2012 school-year we will see the introduction of several initiatives at Gibbons Middle School. The programmatic and curricular changes that we will be introducing this year are the result of much discussion and research from the 2010-2011 school-year. This restructuring has been made possible by the support of our school community, specifically our Superintendent, Marianne O'Connor and the Westborough School Committee. We are confident that these initiatives will provide our students with the best experience possible. This letter briefly describes how we have restructured our Reading program, "Specials" program, Foreign Language offerings, staffing of our Academic Teams, our 'advisory' program, as well as the structure and expectation for students during 7th period.
